When a cough gets to be too much, it's time to break out the herbs and make an herbal tea. Our favorite herbal tea for coughing is specially formulated to help break up the gook that's causing the irritation so we can breathe easy and stop hacking!
Herbal Tea for Cough
- 2 teaspoons mullein
- 2 teaspoons lemon balm
- 1 teaspoon calendula flowers
- 2 teaspoons marshmallow root
- 1 teaspoon echinacea flowers
- 2 teaspoons chamomile flowers
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger root
Combine the above ingredients and store in an air-tight jar with a lid.
To Make the Tea:
Pour 8 ounces boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons tea mix. Steep for 15 to 20 minutes.
